Before the Christmas break, Ellie from our Sales and Marketing Team, met with her old school, Walderslade Girls School, where she was previously Head Girl (many moons ago!), to discuss our new Returns and Recycle Scheme for Schools with the Eco Warrier Students and get their take on it, and also what they do to protect the environment. It was an excellent experience for both Ellie and the girls to share their thoughts and ideas on saving the planet!
The Eco Warrier Group is built up of Year 7 - Year 11's who have a passion for all things recycling and reusing! They give up several break and lunch times per week to help clean up the school and get together to discuss new ideas. It really is fantastic to see young people so passionate and excited about the environment.
They gave Ellie some great ideas on how we as a business can do our bit, and the main taking home point for her was, "Do not give up!" Keep going as it is easy to feel you aren't making a real difference, but it starts with one person and takes consistency and determination.
They also loved our return and recycle scheme for schools, they would much rather replace the chair feet on their schools chairs then throwing the entire chair into landfill, so they see our vision!
