Before the Christmas break, Ellie from our Sales and Marketing Team returned to her former school, Walderslade Girls’ School, where she was once Head Girl, to meet with their inspiring Eco Warrior Group.

The visit was part of our initiative to introduce the Sinclair & Rush Returns and Recycle Scheme for Schools, and to hear directly from students about their views on sustainability and environmental action.

The Eco Warrior Group, made up of passionate Year 7 to Year 11 students, give up their break and lunch times to clean up the school and brainstorm new eco-friendly ideas. Their energy and dedication to recycling and reusing were truly impressive.

Ellie was inspired by their enthusiasm and received plenty of fresh ideas on how businesses like ours can make a greater environmental impact. One message that really stood out was:

“Don’t give up – change starts with one person and grows through consistency and determination.”

The group loved the concept of our Returns and Recycle Scheme, particularly the idea of replacing worn-out chair feet instead of discarding entire chairs into landfill. They fully embraced our vision for reducing waste in schools.

A huge thank you to Walderslade Girls’ School and the Eco Warrior Group – you’ve given us a renewed sense of purpose and reminded us why every small action matters!
