At Sinclair & Rush, charitable giving is at the heart of our culture. As 2023 comes to a close, we’re proud to reflect on the incredible causes we’ve supported throughout the year—locally and nationally.
We continued to back Grassroots Football, supporting two local teams: the Under-16s Arrows, who we’ve provided kits and training gear for over four seasons, and the Aylesford Rockets, coached by our own David (Territory Account Manager). Our £220 donation towards pop-up goals allowed the team to train anywhere and keep doing what they love.
In the spring, we donated components to Horatio’s Garden, a charity creating beautiful outdoor spaces for spinal injury patients. Our black tubing inserts helped extend the life of their garden furniture, saving money and reducing waste—proving small gestures can make a big difference.
One of the standout moments this year was supporting Ella’s Ball, organised by local fundraiser Laura, whose daughter Ella lives with a rare brain condition and epilepsy. We donated £300 to help fund this wonderful evening, which raised over £9,000 for Epilepsy Sucks UK, helping provide life-saving anti-suffocation pillows and vital support for families in need.
As Christmas approached, our annual charity appeal saw our team collect over 40 bags and boxes of clothes and bric-a-brac for the Dogs Trust and Heart of Kent Hospice. It was a fantastic team effort across our Maidstone and Rochester sites, and both charities were so grateful for the generous donations.
We also joined in the fun of Christmas Jumper Day, raising money for Save the Children and bringing a splash of festive spirit to the office. It’s a light-hearted tradition that brings joy while supporting a meaningful cause—and one our team always gets behind.
From pop-up goals to epilepsy support, from hospice donations to festive fundraisers, it’s been a rewarding year full of heart and community.
We’d like to thank every staff member who donated, volunteered, or took part in making 2023 such a positive and generous year. We’re excited to continue our CSR journey into 2024, with more initiatives already in the works.
