Sinclair & Rush Proudly Sponsor Anchorians Arrows U14 Football Team

Sinclair & Rush are delighted to sponsor the Anchorians Arrows Under-14s, a local grassroots football team playing in the Medway District Youth League.

Among the squad of 16 players is our very own ‘Professor Zac’, representing both the team and Sinclair & Rush with pride. The Arrows include four of the original players who first came together at the age of five — a testament to their loyalty, teamwork, and inclusive ethos.

The team is coached using the successful principles of the England DNA programme, promoting development, confidence, and playing out from the back — much to the excitement of their loyal supporters on the sidelines.

Anchorians Football Club is one of the largest community sports organisations in the region. With over 75 teams, it provides football opportunities for boys, girls, men, women, veterans, and players with disabilities. The wider Anchorians Sports Club also hosts rugby and hockey and now boasts a newly developed community-led 3G all-weather pitch.

We’re proud to support such a forward-thinking, inclusive club that embodies everything grassroots sport is about — fun, development, and opportunity for all. As a business, we strive to build the same positive, community-driven environment internally at Sinclair & Rush.

As one club volunteer puts it:

“Anchorians is a true grassroots club, focused on enjoyment and participation. There are no trials or selections — just a chance for everyone to play.”

Clubs like this rely heavily on the support of local businesses and a dedicated network of volunteers, who give up their time to provide opportunities for young people from all walks of life.

Leon, the Arrows' team manager, had this to say:

“This will be my seventh season coaching the Arrows — it’s flown by. We started with just seven players, and four of them are still the backbone of the team today. It’s been hugely rewarding to watch them grow as players and mature as individuals.”

“Following the disruption of COVID, we’re entering a rebuilding phase. Five players are starting their first season with us — three of whom have never played team football before. It will be a challenge, but their attitude has been excellent, and I’m confident we’ll grow stronger as the season progresses.”

Stay tuned to our social media channels for regular updates, match reports, player bios, and more throughout the season.

Best of luck to the Arrows for the season ahead — we’re all cheering you on!
