We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from Sinclair & Rush—James Terry has rejoined our UK Sales Team after several years away from the business! James (Jim) brings with him years of experience, deep industry knowledge, and a genuine passion for customer relationships, and we couldn’t be happier to have him back on board.

Ellie from our Marketing team caught up with Jim for a quick Q&A to find out more about his return, current role, and plans for the future. Here's what he had to say...

So Jim, how are you finding the return to Sinclair & Rush?
“It’s great to be back—like I never left, even though it’s been nearly 8 years! The welcome has been amazing, and I’ve had some lovely messages from colleagues across the UK, US, and Australia. It’s been a smooth transition back in, and I’m still treating every day as a school day!”

What’s your current role?
“I’m back as a Strategic Account Manager, focusing on our key customers and partners in the UK and EMEA—primarily in Europe. I’m also analysing business activity from when I left in 2016 to now, looking at growth by market, product, and value. It’s great to see that many of the accounts I developed back then have continued to thrive.”

What made you return to Sinclair & Rush?
“I’d stayed in touch with Allan (UK Sales Manager), and it was clear that the company had evolved significantly. A new opportunity arose in 2023 that felt like the right fit—and I’m glad I said yes!”

What was your previous role?
“I was with Sinclair & Rush for 13 years and worked up to European Sales Manager, heading up the EMEA business and managing key accounts and distributors. It’s great to see that many of those relationships are still going strong.”

Has the company changed since you left?
“Definitely. The business has improved in terms of structure, staff, and role clarity, which has made my commercial role more rewarding. It’s also brilliant to see many familiar faces still here—that played a big part in my decision to return.”

Any goals for the near future?
“Right now, I’m focused on reconnecting with our customers and getting back into the market. Although I know the business well, I’m treating this like a fresh start—building relationships, understanding new trends, and learning how the landscape has evolved since I was last here.”

And just for fun—what do you get up to in your spare time?
“I spend as much time with my family as I can. I love travelling, learning languages, and cooking. I’m also really into fitness—running, swimming, and the gym—and aim to get back to running 2,500km a year like I did during Covid! Music’s a huge part of my life too—if it’s loud and energetic, I’m there!”

It was a real pleasure catching up with Jim. His passion, energy, and experience are a huge asset to the team, and we can’t wait to see how his journey continues with us.

Welcome back, Jim!
