Chicago Cubs vs St Louis Cardinals London Series

3 Lucky winners watch our 'home' team in London

What a fantastic way to spend a Sunday on what was one of the hottest days so far this year!

With our main offices based out in St Louis, we have many Cardinals fans within the business, so when the date was set for the Cardinals to play in London, we held a competition for three lucky winners to gain tickets.

Our winners were Dan - Compliance, Nathan Sales and Dave Production. Keen Sportsmen themselves, they thoroughly enjoyed the game. Chicago Cubs dominated the game on the Saturday but by Sunday St Louis Cardinals came back strong winning the second match day. More than 110,000 people visited West Ham’s re-purposed home ground over the two days including many fans making the trip over from the USA.

"Really great day and an amazing treat for the 3 of us that we are all very grateful for. We knew a little bit about the rules of baseball but learnt a lot as the match went on. Lots of traveling Americans were at the game and were really friendly. S&R's team the Cardinals got a well fought victory on the Sunday game having gone 4-0 down in the first innings. Great weather, great crowd, great game and a big thank you from Nathan, Dave and myself" Dan, Compliance Officer (Prize winner!)

"Chicago Cubs and St Louis Cardinals lit up London and shared the spoils as they brought their historic rivalry to the UK in the MLB London Series." - Talk Sport To check out further information on the nail biting game, just go to:

Asked for a brief rundown of the event, our guys said;

"Our game ended with a 7-5 win for the Cardinals. Score card is on one of the photos within the carousel. Cubs scored 4 in the first innings then failed to score until the 9th innings. Both American and British national anthems were played. They did the "7th innings stretch" where the crowd sing "take me out to the ball game" which was lead by John Goodman. Jimmy Anderson (England cricketer) and Nathan Lyon (Australian cricketer) threw the ceremonial first pitches."
