Silicone Thread Mask Plug from Sinclair & Rush.

Our range of specialist Silicone Thread Mask Plugs have been designed to include a flange which protects the first thread of a threaded hole. Unlike standard masking plugs, our Thread Mask Plugs ensure a neat, flush finish right up to the opening, effectively preventing any paint or coating from entering the first thread.

Silicone Thread Mask Plugs, are made from high temperature silicone material suitable for use up to 315°c and include a small handle for ease of removal, without restricting the coating process. Designed for use with blind holes, our Thread Masks have a chamfered leading edge for easy fitting. Most suitable where first thread protection is critical.

Product Uses

Silicone Thread Mask Plugs are used to protect female threaded holes during painting, anodising, plating and e-coating. Highly durable and resistant to heat, our Thread Mask is used in factories worldwide for high performance masking of tapped threads. The shape of the flange is designed to mask off the lead-in chamfers of standard female threads.

Shallow design makes this range of Thread Masks perfect for blind holes, where the thread needs to be fully sealed. Available in a range of colours for easy identification.

*Tip - ensure the outside diameter of the mask is at least 5% great then the hole size.
