Sixpence Industries Ltd is a small family run business. Their newest product, the ‘Rail Stay’ is an innovative clamping system designed to be used in conjunction with carpenter’s guide rails.
As a company whose product was designed and manufactured in the UK, Sixpence Industries Ltd felt strongly about sourcing the packaging from a reliable UK manufacturer who was able to source a great quality product. The packaging for the Rail Stay needed to be easy to assembly and strong as it needed to be used for singular shipping. Sixpence Industries Ltd were able to handle a significant order quantity without hugely impacting on the inventory storage area as the clamshells stack well.
Sixpence Industries Ltd knew that in a retail setting it was critical to be able to show their new product clearly within the packaging while keeping the two clamps secure in the clamshell without the need for dunnage. After exploring a few sample sizes, Sinclair & Rush helped the company find a clamshell that suited this perfectly, available with or without a retail hook. They were aesthetically pleasing and easily opened in the retail setting to enable consumers a tactile experience without damaging the packaging.

- Trim openings in vertical situations, where standard clamps wouldn’t be an option.
- Safe trimming of doors in situ, after a carpet install.
- Avoid reliable British weather with the option of working indoors.
- Save up to 8m² of working space indoors and reduce material handling.
- Able to leave the rail attached to the work piece and rotate freely without the clamps becoming incumbent to the bench*.
